Amfexa (dexamfetamine) for ADHD
Amfexa (dexamfetamine) is indicated for the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults when response to prior methylphenidate treatment is inadequate. It is used as part of a comprehensive treatment program that includes psychological, educational, and social measures.
Some children diagnosed with ADHD may continue to have symptoms into adulthood. For adults, the symptoms must have started in childhood for treatment to be initiated.
